Variations on Normal, Selfridges Window
Dominic Wilcox was asked by Selfridges department store to fill a window with his ‘Variations on Normal’ sketchbook ideas for the ‘Festival of Imagination‘. The window takes the form of an eclectic collection of inventions, playful prototypes and imagined possibilities plucked from his sketchbook and made real. The diverse range of creations include a beard made for over 2000 crystals, a self walking suitcase and a pair of binoculars that enable the user to view the world in any time period.
The window can be viewed at Selfridges, Oxford st, London until the end of February. Dominic Wilcox will be talking about his creations and other work at Selfridges on the 7th February, 2014 12.30 to 1.30 in the Imaginarium, details here.
Dominic’s No Place Like Home GPS shoes are also currently displayed in Selfridges ‘Imagine’ Shop.
